Blazers: Appropriate for Work and Casual Wear
Good afternoon, my fine fashionistas!
If you have an office job, you might feel some of the restraint that comes along to sticking with a dress code. Don’t worry. There are still options out there to look amazing.
One of my personal favorite things to wear to work is a blazer. A blazer can immediately add a sense of professionalism to any outfit.
Here are some pretty sweet blazers:
This is a top-rated blazer from Forever 21. If you take a look at the picture, the blazer makes a great addition to the rest of the outfit. The outfit without the blazer would be relatively boring and wouldn’t create that aura of professionalism.
Just because you’re wearing a blazer does not mean that you can’t layer it with a dress. You can wear a blazer over any of your favorite dresses. Check out this solid white blazer from Urban Outfitters over a cute, summery dress:
(Notice how it’s still work appropriate!)
If you’re weary on buying a blazer because you think it might be a waste of money (a lot of the time, I like to wear things that are appropriate for both casual and professional styles, if I can), then take a look at these versatile examples:
This short-styled H&M blazer is totally awesome. If you take a look at the picture, you don’t have to just wear a blazer to work. You can combine it with a casual tee and shorts, and still manage to pull off an adorable nighttime look. Rock it, girl!
Check out this absolutely adorable blazer from Forever 21. This image is a great example of blending two different styles successfully. The blazer gives off a bit of a professional yet Western feel (due to the color, I suppose) and is merged with some sexy leather shorts and a modern black and white striped blouse.
Blazers aren’t only great for the workplace—they make an excellent layering piece for your casual clothing as well. Here’s an outfit idea I put together for a work environment that can be picked apart to become something more casual later on:
Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Blazer:Dsuared2
Heels: Wholesale Dress
Clutch: Valentino
Fragrance: Versace
Nails: China Glaze
What do you guys think? Do you like wearing blazers to work or over casual attire? Comment and let me know!
What to wear this Memorial Day weekend
Hello, loves! May 27th is quickly approaching, and you know what that means: Memorial Day!
If you’re feeling festive during this three-day weekend, there are three main (and obvious) colors that you should focus on wearing: Red, white, and blue.
Of course, another festive option is wearing a print of the American flag. This shirt from Forever 21 is a great and affordable example:
I feel like this tank top is an effortless way of showing your spirit this Memorial Day. It works well with a variety of different things, like a pair of jean shorts (which you’ll probably want to be wearing this time of year!)
Speaking of jean shorts, here’s another item from Forever 21 that is a great idea for Memorial Day attire:
Like it shows in the image, a pair of red high heels would look fantastic with a pair of shorts with an American flag print. In fact, any pair of sexy heels could really go along well with a pair of shorts. I’m really infatuated with this pair of red heels with an edgy twist:
However, some high heels aren’t appropriate for all Memorial Day weekend events. Walking around a backyard in a pair of heels can become a little frustrating. For a more casual and comfortable look, I would recommend these incredible white gladiator sandals by Aldo:
Of course, dresses are absolutely acceptable and are actually encouraged. Sundresses make a great idea, especially if you’re trying to stay cool. Last but not least is this unbelievably beautiful sundress from Free People. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it.
So there you have it! These are a few ideas on what to wear this Memorial Day weekend. What do you think? Comment and let me know! Xoxo
Crop Tops
Hello loves! It’s almost summer, which means one major thing: new summer clothes! Right now, I’m really obsessed with the crop top look. You might also see these tops called “bra tops”, even though they’re not bras. I think this look is adorable! You can wear a cropped shirt with anything that has a high waist, like a skirt or a pair of shorts. It’s a versatile look that can be mixed and matched with anything. One of my favorite summertime looks is a cropped jean top, a solid-colored skirt, and a plaid button-up.
Crop tops are great because you can cover them up quickly with a statement layering piece. They’re perfect for the summer because they are sure to keep you cool.
Here are a few crop tops (or bra tops) that I’m absolutely in love with:
Out From Under Zip-Up Denim Bra Top
Ecote Embellished Mirror Bra Top
Pins And Needles Sweetheart Lace Cropped Top
Here’s one way to wear a crop top:
Shirt: Mango
Skirt: Sally
Plaid shirt: BKE
Sunglasses and shoes: Urban Outfitters
What do you guys think? Will you be wearing crop tops this summer? Comment and let me know!

As new fun and flirty spring and summer dresses come out, what could be better than adding some extra sex appeal with a cutout detail here or there or an area that is sheer. This spring’s trend of cutouts, seen all over the runways, is showing up in so many beautiful spring dress designs. I love anything with a little extra detailing, so when I read about this trend, I went on a hunt for some of the cutest cutout dresses out there!

Oh spring break, that magical time in every college student’s life when he or she gets a week-long vacation right in the middle of the spring semester. For many students, this means gathering a bunch of friends together and traveling somewhere tropical! And even if you’re like me and are no longer in school, these items are still perfect for any kind of tropical vacations you may have planned this year.

Fierce Florals
{Think Lauren-Conrad’s-blazer-type-of-floral}
When it comes to predicting springtime fashion trends, one sure bet every year is floral prints. I mean it makes sense…after a winter season filled with rich, dark colors, most fashionistas are itching to get back into bright flirty colors. This spring, the traditional “it looks like your grandmother’s wallpaper” floral print has been turned up a notch, and featured bolder colors and more modern, “watercolor-esque” designs.
Check out some of my favorite fierce floral pieces!
Topshop Floral Print Sweater
Stella McCartney Floral Print Shorts
Milly ‘Ivy’ Cotton Blend Sheath Dress
BB DAKOTA Watercolor Print Pleated Top
Forever 21 Watercolor Pants
JCrew Liberty Perfect shirt in Tresco floral
Sabo Skirt Ink Island Blazer
What do you think about these fierce floral pieces? Will you be wearing this trend in the spring? Comment and let me know!
