Cute DIY Halloween Costumes: Part 1

Hello loves! Sorry for such a long break, I took a little vacation for some much needed R&R, but I am back now! And now I can’t believe that it is already the middle/end of October! Ahhh! Where did the time go??

Anyways, I (like I am sure many of you out there are too) am frantically trying to brainstorm Halloween costume ideas for some of the parties I have coming up. Although it is easy to search the internet and buy a costume online, oftentimes these costumes are way overpriced and poorly made. So instead of buying something online, I have made it my current mission to search for inexpensive, yet still cute, DIY Halloween costume ideas. So over the next couple of days I am going to write a couple of posts about some of the cute DIY costume ideas I find to help other readers out there who, like myself, still have NO IDEA what we’re going to do, haha!

Here are some trendy DIY costume ideas I have found so far…

Audrey Hepburn ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ Costume

Piecing together this classical and chic Halloween costume is easy with items you may already have in your closet (like a LBD and black pumps), or by stopping by your local thrift store (you can find great costume jewelry there!).

Sandy from ‘Grease’

This is another great DIY costume idea because it is such an iconic look AND it is so easy to create (especially if you are already a blonde). All you need is a black off the shoulder shirt, black leather leggings, a black belt and some red heels. For fun you can also add a blonde wig (if you need it) and some big gold hoop earrings.

Katniss Evergreen from ‘The Hunger Games’

Not only will this be a popular costume this year, but it can also be created for super cheap. All one needs is a black nylon rain coat, black shirt (you can get cheap ones from Forever 21), dark brown pants and riding boots (many of these may already be in your closet). You can also purchase a replica Mockingjay pin at Hot Topic or at other retailers online. Now just braid your hair back in Katniss’ famous braid and you are good to go!

So what do you think of these Halloween costume ideas? Comment and let me know!
